Andrea Thomson FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 6/13/16 Communications Director Milwaukee Twisted Dreams Film Festival twisteddreamspress@gmail.com Milwaukee Twisted Dreams Film Festival Returns For Second Year Milwaukee, WI-The Twisted Dreams Film Festival is now accepting entries for its second year. The festival will occur from March 31-April 2 at the Underground Collaborative at 161 W. Wisconsin Ave, on the lower level of the Grand Avenue Mall. The aim is to feature full-length movies and shorts with an element of the macabre, so along with horror and slasher films, other genres such as comedies or documentaries will also be considered. Response to the TDFF 2016 was very enthusiastic. Many of the films' directors attended, filmmaker Mark Borchardt of “American Movie” was opening night MC, and there were special sideshow performances from Professor Pinkerton and Sanjula of Dead Man's Carnival. The films “The Hike” and “Holy Hell” tied for the Audience Award, with “Holy Hell” winning the Jury Award. It also made Film Freeway's list of the Top 100 Best Reviewed Festivals. For 2017, the festival will expand from two to three days. There will be a discounted submission fee for animated shorts and for Wisconsin filmmakers. Thus, the Twisted Dream Film Festival was born in all its bloody glory.
